Time available

Set the time still available for catch-up work. The rest buffer stays unscheduled; 5-minute breaks separate work blocks.

Scheduled work

Nearest deadlines first. Work is split into blocks of up to 25 minutes. This is a suggested order; check estimates and deadlines with your teachers.

Add missed work

Use your best estimate in 5-minute steps. Use “Log work” in the agenda after a session to reduce both effort and available time. You can also correct estimates here; 0 means finished.

Review the details and add your teacher’s name before sending. BellBack does not send messages.

How BellBack builds your week

  1. Set a realistic limit. Give each day 0–240 minutes. A 0-minute day is a day off.
  2. Protect rest. The daily buffer is reserved before any work is scheduled. Each work block after the first has a 5-minute break before it.
  3. List the work left. Add deadlines, remaining effort, and whether materials are available. No need to enter why you were absent.
  4. See what fits. An earliest-deadline heuristic places ready work into blocks of up to 25 minutes. Required work wins ties. It never schedules past a deadline or above your daily limit.
  5. Talk about what doesn’t. Missing materials, past deadlines, and time shortfalls get explicit explanations and editable request drafts. Deadlines after day seven are labelled as outside this view.
  6. Record a session. Use “Log work” to subtract the work completed and the actual time spent from that day’s remaining availability. Include breaks in time spent. The rest buffer remains protected. Undo the last entry before making another change.
  7. Keep your plan. Save a JSON plan file, reopen it later, or print your week. Nothing is synced across devices automatically.

BellBack is a planning prototype. It does not know school rules or automatically verify deadline changes. Example assignments are fictional. AI helped build the app; the scheduler runs locally without an AI service.

Log completed work

Include any break taken before this session in total time. A 5-minute break will precede the next scheduled block. Only log work you have actually done. The remaining agenda will be recalculated.
